Get Ready, Madison! The Forge Sport Center Opens This Saturday

A new home for pickleball is about to change the game in southeast Madison!

The Forge Sport Center is opening its doors with a FREE Pickleball Preview Day on Saturday, June 20, featuring open play on eight premium indoor courts from 8:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. Whether you're a seasoned player or just curious about the fastest-growing sport in America, this is your chance to experience Madison's newest pickleball destination.

Preview Day Schedule

8:00 a.m.–12:00 p.m. – Open Play
12:00–4:00 p.m. – Family Open Play
4:00–9:00 p.m. – Social Open Play

But the fun doesn't stop on the courts! Grab a slice from the pizza pub, enjoy a drink at the full-service bar, and relax in the spacious mezzanine while taking in all the action. Starting at noon, guests can even sample the pizza!

At the heart of the event are the dynamic and interactive Gold Medal Challenges—a standout feature designed to elevate the pickleball experience. Created in collaboration with an incredible group of partners, including Basecamp Fitness, the Madison College Fitness Center, Madison College Fitness & Wellness Program students, the Capital Area Pickleball Association, and more, these challenges deliver creativity and excitement across the courts. Participants will take on surprise twists, inventive mini-games, and skill-based contests—think trick shots, lightning-fast serves, and precision lobs.

Adding to the excitement, select challenges are hosted and inspired by standout community figures, including former Wisconsin Badgers Roy Boone, Mike Wilkerson, and “Mr. Basketball” Nimrod Hilliard, including Wolfpack Athletes—bringing added energy, competitive spirit, and star power to the experience.

Get ready for a tournament experience that blends timeless tradition with high-energy competition. The Wimbledink tournament delivers a dynamic format designed to guarantee plenty of play, strategic matchups, and an electrifying finish in every division.

The competition begins with round robin and pool play, ensuring each team has multiple opportunities to find their rhythm. From there, players advance into bracket play, where the stakes rise and every point matters. While formats may adjust depending on division size, every bracket is built on the same core principle: meaningful play before elimination.

Beyond the gameplay, Wimbledink brings a signature flair. In a nod to its iconic inspiration, all-white attire is strongly encouraged, adding a touch of tradition and visual unity across the courts. Each participant will also receive a custom Wimbledink headband, the perfect keepsake for a weekend of spirited competition.

Play unfolds on Cushion-X courts, the official surface of the PPA, with Franklin X-40 balls ensuring consistency and professional-level performance throughout the tournament.

$60 entry fee includes one event
$20 for each additional event
Early bird pricing available through June 21

Baird CAPA Cup 2026 – 10th Anniversary Celebration

Celebrate 10 years of CAPA with our biggest Baird CAPA Cup yet! This premier member tournament delivers maximum pickleball and maximum fun, bringing 400+ players together for three days of competition, connection, and community at Pickleball Kingdom in Sun Prairie.

This is a CAPA members-only event—though each year more than 100 players join CAPA just to compete. Membership is only $15/year, making it easy to jump in and be part of the action.

Enjoy indoor play across 12 courts with no weather delays, featuring round-robin match play followed by medal rounds where teams compete for gold, silver, and bronze. Early Bird registration before July 1 includes a bonus of 3 Franklin X-40 balls per event.

All scores (except Parent/Grandparent & Child events) are reported to DUPR, and certified referees will officiate medal matches and select round-robin games to ensure a high-quality competitive experience.
